Both countries are important trading partners for each other. The UK mainly exports construction materials and pharmaceutical products to Poland. In the other direction, mainly food, chemical products and consumer goods leave for the UK.

All shortsea terminals have their own intermodal rail facilities. This is how they guarantee smooth and congestion-free transit. Daily rail shuttles between the port and Poland provide reliable and congestion-free connections with sufficient capacity.
In addition, the goods benefit from a wide range of value-added services in Antwerp and Zeebrugge, which saves any additional shipments.
Trains use six times less energy than trucks and emit only one-fifth the amount of carbon dioxide. Each railcar takes a truck off the road and also avoids additional traffic congestion.
