After the pre-notification, the port captain's office sends a stay number, which is used for all further notifications during the duration of the visit. A request for departure contains all data related to the ship's (last) berth in the port area.
What is a berth number?
Would you like to call at Port of Antwerp-Bruges with your barge or seagoing vessel? Then you'll need a berth number.
This applies to both seagoing vessels and barges. You apply for a berth number for a seagoing vessel electronically via APICS for Antwerp or Zedis for Zeebrugge. A barge will receive a berth number after the vessel is registered via VHF or APICS Barge for Antwerp.
