How do I use APICS Barge?

APICS Barge makes your life as a bargemaster or fleet manager significantly easier. The application offers numerous advantages, including efficient lock bookings in Antwerp and the ability to plan passages during works on the Albert Canal.

In the tutorial videos below, you will learn about the key features of the application, helping you get started quickly and easily.

View moorings

The 'Berth Occupation' module provides an interactive map of the port, offering additional information that could be useful during your stay in the Port of Antwerp.

Create a journey

In the 'Journey planning' module, you will find an overview of all active and previous journeys. Here you can add new journeys, moor and unmoor as well as book locks.

ATTENTION!

At the time of departure, the ETD (unmooring notification) must be confirmed in APICS Barge so that it becomes an ATD. Only then will the AIS passages further along the journey be registered and the stay be closed.

Manage vessels

In the 'Linked vessels' module, you will find an overview of your  fleet. Here you can add ships, update ships' details, take over and authorise ships. You can view your ships as a list or, if available, view their location on the map.

ATTENTION!

As an owner, you can only work in APICS Barge with vessels that belong to your own fleet (with the exception of barges). Would you like a third party to also have access to your vessels in APICS Barge? As the owner, you can grant authorization to an already registered user. This can be done directly in the module, or by sending a request via email to apicsbarge@portofantwerpbruges.com.
