International connections

As the second largest port in Europe, Port of Antwerp-Bruges is a true world port. To strengthen its international network, it is committed to sustainable partnerships and ambitious investments.

International relations anchored

With a close-knit and dynamic team of account/segment managers on the one hand and international representatives on the other, Port of Antwerp-Bruges actively engages in global trade from both a sectoral and regional perspective. The team shapes international collaboration and focuses on attracting sustainable cargo flows to our port.

Subsidiaries

The ambitions of Port of Antwerp-Bruges can be found in countless international projects. For example, the development of an efficient modal shift policy and the expansion of port infrastructure. But it does not stop at mere consultancy or investment.

For overseas ports and terminals in a start-up phase, or for those looking to improve the performance of their port, Port of Antwerp-Bruges invests in comprehensive courses and training for professionals.

Port of Antwerp-Bruges International's experts and consultants make recommendations, draw up action plans and develop customised solutions.

Consultants lay the foundations for sustainable collaboration

The core activities of subsidiary Port of Antwerp-Bruges International are consultancy and investment. It is a shareholder in Port of Duqm in Oman, Port of Acu in Brazil, and San Pedro Manutention in Ivory Coast.

All these investment projects are not only the result of long-term partnerships, but also the ambition to promote business, make global trade easier and more accessible. This 'think global, act local' approach proves to be a recipe for success.

Training centre trains professionals from all over the world

The maritime training centre of Antwerp and Flanders is known worldwide as APEC-Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Center (APEC).

The centre offers short-term seminars for professionals from around the world. During these training courses, we do not only exchange knowledge and best practices. Often, the dialogue between the various participants prompts debate and discussion and paves the way for new, innovative ideas.
