Fishing is permitted at a number of locations in the port area of Antwerp and Zeebrugge. Fishing in the port must always be done from the quay, it is prohibited to fish from a vessel in all areas. All anglers needs a fishing permit from the Flemish Agency for Nature and Forest.  

Fishing in the port of Antwerp

Fishing in the port of Antwerp is only allowed in an area on the east bank of the B2 channel-basin from the entrance of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal in the North to the waiting berths of Reigersbos de Zouten in the South.

Fishing in the port of Zeebrugge

Fishing in the port of Zeebrugge is permitted in the following areas: the western bank of the Baudouin canal, between the bridge of Dudzele and Zwankendamme, on the western sloping bank of the Verbindings dock, and along the Kiwiweg and the container viewing point on the Kustlaan.

Additional fishing permit in the port of Zeebrugge

The port authority has decided to increase the fee for the additional fishing permit to fish in the port of Zeebrugge. The fee is €11.89 including postage and can be obtained at the reception of the Pierre Vandammehouse in Zeebrugge, after handing in your identity card or by bank transfer. You will then receive the permit by mail.
