Reporting in
- Upon entering the port;
- When occupying a berth (mooring);
- When launching the vessel.
Shifting
- When moving between the docks;
- When crossing from the left bank to the right bank (or vice versa);
- When moving to or from the Scheldt docks or jetties.
Reporting out
- When leaving a berth (casting off);
- When leaving the harbour via a lock;
- When removing the vessel from the water.
Likewise, if a ship changes its destination, this must be reported.
Inland vessels leaving the port via the Scheldt-Rhine Canal or the Albert Canal only need to report when casting off, provided that they have been correctly reported and are transmitting the required AIS signals.
