Is a route permit required in the case of operational transports through the tunnels (as part of the main road network)?

Port vehicles using the tunnels while being relocated must comply with Article 32 bis of the Technical Regulation of 15 March 1968. They do not need an additional route permit.

Transport is permitted using port vehicles in categories A4–B4 with a maximum length of 25.25 m and a maximum weight, including load, of 60 metric tons. A route permit is not required for this.

Due to infrastructure restrictions, the Frans Tysmans Tunnel exits are limited to combinations with a maximum length of 18.75 m.
