As an inland navigation operator loading or unloading containers, you can easily and quickly submit deadline requests to the terminals you want to call at using the Barge Traffic System (BTS).

Container barge traffic in Port of Antwerp-Bruges has grown exponentially in recent years. To manage this, the BTS platform provides a uniform way to request handling times at all terminals.

How does it work?

As an inland navigation operator loading or unloading containers, you can use the Barge Traffic System to send slot requests to the terminals you want to call at. Are the slot requests from different terminals too close together? Then you will receive a notification. That way, you can adjust your schedule. This helps the terminal operator schedule inland navigation vessels more efficiently and provides smooth feedback.
