Notification of processing of personal data

Port of Antwerp-Bruges processes personal data in accordance with the clause added at the end of this section.

 

When a tenderer puts itself forward for this public contract by submitting a bid, the tenderer hereby states:

  • that it shall always comply with the applicable laws and regulations on data protection and the processing of personal data and that it shall handle the personal data of, inter alia, Port of Antwerp-Bruges employees, which it will process in the context of this public contract, in a practical and lawful manner. The tenderer shall thus ensure that it correctly informs each party involved, maintains a processing register and takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data it processes. It will only process personal data in a manner consistent with the processing principles set out in the GDPR and only on the basis of legitimate legal grounds.
  • that it shall provide the notice below to all persons whose personal data Port of Antwerp-Bruges processes in the context of the public contract and that it shall process this personal data in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations on data protection and the processing of personal data.

 

Port of Antwerp-Bruges NV (public limited company) under public law (hereinafter "Port of Antwerp-Bruges", "we" or "us") attaches great importance to the protection of personal data. Personal Data are all the information about an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter the "data subject", "you", or "your"). We will always protect your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR) including any applicable current or future national or international legislation implementing or replacing the GDPR (hereinafter collectively "Applicable Privacy Legislation").

Purpose

  • To guarantee smooth communication between the tenderer or specific persons involved in this project (in the name of the tenderer) and Port of Antwerp-Bruges within this public contract or a future public contract issued by Port of Antwerp-Bruges in which the tenderer is involved. In this way, the tenderer may be contacted at any time in the context of a new or ongoing public contract with Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
  • To guarantee the proper performance of public contracts.

Legal basis

Legitimate interest of Port of Antwerp-Bruges to adequately ensure the conclusion of and compliance with agreements.

4. Source of personal data

Port of Antwerp-Bruges shall only process the personal data that it obtains directly from the tenderer. In addition, Port of Antwerp-Bruges also processes personal data of persons concerned by these specifications, of whom the tenderer provides the personal data or who do this themselves by means of communication with Port of Antwerp-Bruges. Port of Antwerp-Bruges relies on the tenderer to inform all these persons accordingly.

5. Categories of recipients

In the context of this processing, your personal data will not be transferred to third parties.

6. International transfers

Your personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

7. Retention period

7.1 Port of Antwerp-Bruges shall retain your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in Section 3. After that time, the personal data shall be deleted.

  • You can request access to and receive a copy of any personal data we have processed concerning you.

  • You can request that your personal data be deleted.
  • You can object to the processing of your personal data, request that we restrict the processing of your personal data or request the portability of your personal data.
  • You can also object, free of charge, to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes by contacting Port of Antwerp-Bruges at the address below or by using the unsubscribe link in any direct marketing communication.
  • If we collect and process your personal data with your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on your consent before it is withdrawn.
