What are passage fees?

Port of Antwerp-Bruges levies a passage fee on inland vessels that pass through the port and make use of its infrastructure and/or services. The passage fee applies for an uninterrupted period of maximum 18 hours and expires upon leaving the port. No loading or unloading operations or commercial activities are allowed during the passage. If the 18-hour period is exceeded or if loading or unloading operations or commercial activities are carried out, Port of Antwerp-Bruges will charge a subsistence duty.
