This summer, Antwerp will once again be the host city for The Tall Ships Races. More than a thousand youths from around the world will participate in the sailing competition. Among them will be one hundred Belgian youngsters between the ages of 15 and 25. With the sponsorship programme, companies will support a portion of the travel expenses.
On every ship that participates in The Tall Ships Races, young people from different countries will be sailing along. The crew will teach them all about life on board. These trainees will learn to work together. Even if you have a different origin, religion or culture. This is how The Tall Ships Races creates respect and friendship among youngsters from around the world.
In 2022, one hundred Belgian young people will participate in The Tall Ships Races. The Belgian delegation also includes ten youngsters with physical or mental disabilities. Two attendants will help them on board. On shore, there is an additional coach standing by.
To give youths from different backgrounds the opportunity to participate in The Tall Ships Races, the organisation will assist them with fundraising.
The sponsorship programme allows businesses in the port community to financially support young people. Your company will have access to the young people's travelogue for use in internal or external corporate communications. A sponsorship costs €1,500 (ex. VAT).
