Notification exit seagoing ship

When a seagoing vessel casts off its mooring lines and leaves the port through the lock, the Port Authority immediately notifies customs via APICS. Use this notification to report any departure of a ship from port to customs.

How does it work?

APICS sends a CUSREP notification to customs as soon as a seagoing vessel leaves its berth. When the ship passes through the lock and then leaves the port area behind (at the Belgian-Dutch border), an updated CUSREP notification follows. This way, customs always has up-to-date information on the exact time of departure.
