E2E Rail Trans Port Manager (RTP)

With the E2E Rail Trans Port Manager, you can see in real-time where your rail freight is located. Consulting its status is easy using the clearly presented lists in the digital application and any deviations or problems that may arise en route can be identified more quickly.

How does it work?

The E2E Rail Trans Port Manager brings together data from different sources of stakeholders in the port, such as Infrabel, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, rail companies or freight payers. This gives you a clearer view of where a train or wagon is located at each stage of the logistics chain. As a user, you can easily access this information using clearly presented and well-structured lists.

In time, the application will be expanded further to include features such as international cargo tracking, GPS data integration and terminal slot management. The E2E Rail Trans Port Manager is therefore going to become an essential link in optimising rail freight flows.

Who is using it?

Railport, Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Infrabel developed E2E Rail Trans Port Manager as part of the Rail Vision. Initially, Infrabel is using the tool to manage train traffic and track capacity and monitor them more precisely.

All parties involved in the railway transport logistics chain will be able to access the application, including rail companies, terminals, shippers, freight payers, bridge and lock operators and harbour master's offices in the port.

Of course, a number of companies that are each other's competitors will be using this application. For that reason, access to company-sensitive information is restricted and is not available to all users. To protect the business interests of all parties involved, access to the application is strictly limited to each company's own rail traffic information.

What are the benefits?

E2E Rail Trans Port Manager provides transparency regarding the transport flows in which you are involved as a stakeholder. This means that you can detect delays more quickly and can coordinate activities more effectively, thereby resulting in shorter wait times and a smoother process. With E2E Rail Trans Port Manager, you can make railway transportation in the port  smarter and more efficient

With this application, you can quickly find answers to questions such as: ‘Where is my wagon?’, ‘Which trains with which wagons will be arriving today at a certain location?’, ‘Which wagons have my tanker terminal as their destination?’, ‘Which hazardous goods are in a train or wagon and where is that wagon located?’, etc.
