Port of Antwerp-Bruges launches Breakbulk Summit in 2026

Port of Antwerp-Bruges is launching a new biennial conference to underline its position as Europe's largest breakbulk port. In doing so, the port seeks to remain top of mind within the sector. The Breakbulk Summit will be a meeting place where networking and knowledge sharing take centre stage. A place where the future of breakbulk logistics takes shape.

Breakbulk on the move

The breakbulk sector is an essential link in global trade. It enables the transport of complex, heavy and oversized goods: from industrial machinery to wind turbine components. These are crucial for keeping other industries running, achieving the energy transition and building large-scale infrastructure projects. At the same time, the sector faces constant challenges: stricter sustainability standards, the need for more efficient supply chains and the integration of new technologies.

The Breakbulk Summit brings these themes together in a programme full of substantive sessions, practical cases and discussions with international experts. The event is thus a hotspot for cargo owners, logistics service providers, shipping companies, freight forwarders and other stakeholders.

Networking with style

In addition to informative sessions, the conference on 13 October also offers extensive networking opportunities throughout the day. The evening before, participants can network and enjoy a culinary experience in a unique Belle Époque setting during an exclusive breakbulk dinner in the historic Art Nouveau marble hall of Antwerp Zoo.

More information about the Summit

The Breakbulk Summit was created in consultation with our local port community. There was a need for a platform where customers and service providers could meet eachother to exchange knowledge.
