FS Logistix takes over train connection between Antwerp and Milan

FS Logistix took over the Antwerp–Milan train service from Lineas in September. The train operates five times a week, taking around 13,000 trucks off the road.

Cooperation between FS Logistix and Lineas

Italy’s FS Logistix launched the connection, with Mercitalia Intermodal as rail operator and locomotives supplied by Lineas. The train service departs from the Main Hub rail terminal in Antwerp and runs to Segrate, a suburb of Milan. From there, further connections within Italy are available, for example to the Pomezia terminal south of Rome. The rail link also offers opportunities for expansion to France, Germany and Eastern Europe.

Part of a strategic plan

The new rail link is the first tangible result since FS Logistix acquired a 30% stake in the Main Hub rail terminal in Antwerp. This is a key element of its 2025–2029 strategic plan to expand business across Europe. FS Logistix therefore aims to provide efficient and sustainable logistics solutions.
