Why is Certified Pick up a requirement?

Certified Pick up can be understood as a port service to create a centralised and digitised process, where efficiency, safety and security are paramount. Indeed, the port infrastructure has been recognised as critical digital infrastructure. To make this system effective, it is necessary that every party involved is connected.

 

The Port Authority needs to secure this critical digital infrastructure and has decided to designate its affiliated company, Nxtport, as the authorised service provider to help build this infrastructure. The legal framework is included in the Port Police Regulations.
