Chemistry & Energy Summit

Burghausen, Germany

A balancing act between sustainability and market challenges? Review and outlook for the chemical industry

Port of Antwerp-Bruges wants to interact with its customers in the economic centre of Europe on the supply of both energy and cargo into Europe. We cordially invite you to join us in the magnificent castle of Burghausen.

Expensive energy is weakening the competitiveness of domestic industry - and the chemical industry in particular. Does renewable energy such as hydrogen offer a good alternative? At the same time value chains are shifting due to changing production and demand conditions.

Additionally, the reliability of logistics chains has declined in recent years. Especially the wars in Europe and the Middle East are making that the world will not come to rest even after the end of the coronavirus pandemic. Supply chains have suffered and have become more vulnerable.

How can Port of Antwerp-Bruges turn this tide?

At this second summit of Port of Antwerp-Bruges, we want to discuss with experts which challenges need to be tackled and elaborate on the role of Port of Antwerp-Bruges in supporting the local industry.
